Insurance for the 1926 Model T

After the Tractor Tour last weekend, I gave some thought about insurance for the car. The chance of damage to the car was slight in that type of slow tour. We did however have some liability risk involved. I have my 1967 Firebird 400 insured through Haggerty Insurance. They specialize in insurance for classic and antique cars that are not "daily drivers". I called them and asked them for a quote to add the Model T to my policy. The addition of the car to the policy was quoted a $23.00 per year. They wanted $12.00 for the pro-rated remained of the policy.

I am amazed that in this day and time, it would only cost $23.00 per year to insure any vehicle. I reckon the exposure must be very slight for these cars. We stipulated it would be licensed as a California "Historic Vehicle" and would be operated about 500 miles per year in shows and tours. Still, an unexpected bargain. Thank you Haggerty for making the owning and showing these cars affordable.
