End of Summer get-away

As we are apporaching the end of July, our summer vacation is about over. Susan goes back ot school on August 1. W have gone on several short motorhome trips while she has been off but nothing more than a night or maybe two. e

As we are apporaching the end of July, our summer vacation is about over. Susan goes back ot shool on August 1. My buddy Dick Lolmaugh has been working at a lumber mill off and on for a few years not. I have been up there to help with a project or two. We have wanted to back and spend some time looking around the area. We will be traveling up I-5 to Redding, CA and then going west on CA 299 West. We will travel up past Whiskytown Lake and hit the coast at Arcata. We will then head South on US 101, down to Fortuna, where we will take off to the Southwest to the town of Ferndale. We have secured a camp spot at the Humbolt County Fairgrounds for a couple of days.

We want to explore the towns around the area. We expect to stay 2 days in the area and then head South down US 101 to the Clearlake area. We will probably stay at a Harvest Host winery in Lower Lake on Sunday night and they drive home on Monday morning. After almost 3 days away, the websit will likely be needing a lot of work on Monday. More Later.
